Hubert Gromny is an artist, curator and researcher—a member of SAVVY Contemporary in Berlin. He received MA in Art Praxis from Dutch Art Institute at ArtEZ University in Arnhem, MA in Graphic Art from Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow and BA in philosophy at Jagiellonian University in Cracow. Within his practices he commits to research and test different modalities of artistic production and their potentiality to question what is inherited with social and historical structures of identity. Currently together with Daniellis Hernandez and Meghna Singh he is developing a methodology of artistic programming dedicated to immediate surroundings of SAVVY Contemporary—Wedding. Most recently at SAVVY Contemporary he co-curated Jean-Ulrick Désert's monographic show “Conspicous Invisibility” together with Renan Laru-an and Mokia Laisin in June 2023; was part of curatorial teams for "Our Doughters Shall Inherit The Wealth of Our Stories: The Imaginactivism of Yugantar Collective" (curated by Abhishek Nilamber) in February 2023, “Unraveling the (Under-) Development Complex or Towards a Post-(Under)Development Interdependence: An Ode to Walter Rodney’s ‘How Europe Underdeveloped Africa’ 50 Years on (1972-2022)” (curated by Juan Pablo García Sossa, Hajra Haider Karrar) from April 2022 to January 2023.
