The title promises ambiguous, even mysterious situations and encounters: for the exhibition, Temporary Gallery will be converted into a constantly changing dwelling, temporarily handed over to its tenants and subtenants. Some of the new inhabitants will furnish their rooms for a longer term. Others again come and go. In their luggage they carry artworks as well as objects from everyday life–something personal, collected, found, eventually also borrowed. Seven rooms are occupied. Solely the door key to the empty room of Mr & Mrs X rotates independently among tenants, who are yet to be found. "In the House of Mr & Mrs X" is an exhibition regarded as process, as game with unknowns, where the temporary moment of exhibiting becomes more important than the permanent.
